Description

Indulge in a restaurant-quality meal at home with this delicious Steak and Pasta with Creamy Garlic Sauce recipe. Tender steak, perfectly cooked pasta, and a rich, flavorful sauce combine for a truly unforgettable dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound sirloin steak, about 1-inch thick
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the steak generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer to your desired doneness.
  3. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing against the grain.
  4. While the steak rests, cook the fettuccine pasta according to package directions.
  5. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  7. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat.
  9. Slice the steak and serve over the pasta, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For a spicier sauce, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • Feel free to substitute the steak with chicken or shrimp.
  • If you don’t have heavy cream, you can use a combination of milk and a bit of butter or cream cheese for a similar texture.
