- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, for frying
- Sliced green onions, for garnish
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, rice vinegar, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Add the chicken thighs to the marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade (discard the marinade).
- Place the chicken thighs in the hot skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through and golden brown.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier dish, add more red pepper flakes.
- Serve with steamed rice and your favorite vegetables, such as broccoli or snap peas.
- You can also grill the chicken thighs instead of pan-frying them.
