Description

These flavorful Soy Ginger Chicken Thighs are incredibly easy to make and bursting with Asian-inspired flavors. The chicken is marinated in a savory soy sauce and ginger mixture, then pan-fried to golden perfection. Serve with rice and your favorite vegetables for a complete and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, for frying
  • Sliced green onions, for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, rice vinegar, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade (discard the marinade).
  5. Place the chicken thighs in the hot skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through and golden brown.
  6. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier dish, add more red pepper flakes.
  • Serve with steamed rice and your favorite vegetables, such as broccoli or snap peas.
  • You can also grill the chicken thighs instead of pan-frying them.
