Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 ½ cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1 cup shredded provolone cheese, divided
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
- ½ cup sliced pepperoni, divided
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a small baking dish (such as an 8×8 inch square or a 9-inch round dish).
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until smooth and well combined. Spread this mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Pour the marinara sauce evenly over the cream cheese layer.
- Sprinkle half of the mozzarella, half of the provolone, and half of the Parmesan cheese over the marinara sauce.
- Arrange half of the pepperoni slices over the cheese layer.
- Top with the remaining mozzarella, provolone, and Parmesan cheese.
- Arrange the remaining pepperoni slices on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly around the edges and the cheese is melted and lightly golden brown. If desired, you can broil for the last 1-2 minutes for extra browning, watching carefully to prevent burning.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley, if desired.
- Serve hot with baguette slices, pita chips, crackers, or breadsticks.
Notes
- For an extra kick, add a pinch more red pepper flakes to the cream cheese mixture or sprinkle on top before baking.
- Feel free to customize with your favorite pizza toppings! Cooked sausage, diced bell peppers, or sliced olives would be delicious additions.
- This dip is best served warm. If it cools too much, you can reheat it in the oven at 300°F (150°C) until bubbly again.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
