- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- In a separate bowl, whisk together cornstarch and cold water to create a slurry.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken and cook, stirring frequently, for about 2-3 minutes, until the sauce starts to thicken.
- Add the cornstarch slurry and cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens to a glaze, about 1 minute.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
- Serve hot over rice or your favorite side dishes.
