Description

These French Dip Tortilla Roll Ups are a fun and easy twist on the classic sandwich! They’re perfect for parties, snacks, or a quick lunch. Tender roast beef, melted cheese, and a flavorful au jus for dipping make these roll ups irresistible.


Ingredients

  • 8 large flour tortillas
  • 8 ounces thinly sliced roast beef
  • 8 slices provolone cheese (or Swiss cheese)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 (1 ounce) package dry French onion soup mix
  • 1 cup hot water

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the French onion soup mix and hot water. Set aside to let the soup mix rehydrate.
  2. In another small bowl, combine mayonnaise and Dijon mustard.
  3. Lay a tortilla flat. Spread a thin layer of the mayonnaise mixture over the tortilla.
  4. Place a few slices of roast beef and a slice of cheese on the tortilla.
  5. Roll up the tortilla tightly.
  6. Repeat steps 3-5 with the remaining tortillas, roast beef, cheese, and mayonnaise mixture.
  7. Slice each roll up into 1-inch pieces.
  8. Serve with the prepared French onion dip for dipping.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the mayonnaise mixture.
  • If you don’t have time to make the au jus, you can use store-bought beef broth for dipping.
  • These roll ups are best served immediately, but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
