Description

This Fast Sticky Garlic Chicken Dinner is a weeknight winner! Tender chicken thighs are coated in a flavorful, sticky garlic sauce and ready in under 30 minutes. Perfect for a quick and delicious meal!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish (optional)
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Add chicken thighs to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, until browned and cooked through. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, cornstarch, and water.
  6. Pour the sauce into the skillet and bring to a simmer, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens (about 1-2 minutes).
  7. Return the chicken thighs to the skillet and toss to coat them evenly in the sticky garlic sauce.
  8. Cook for another minute or two, until the chicken is heated through and the sauce has fully coated the chicken.
  9. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.
  10. Serve immediately with rice or your favorite sides.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • You can substitute chicken breasts for chicken thighs, but adjust the cooking time accordingly.
  • Serve with steamed rice, noodles, or your favorite vegetables.
