Description

This Creamy Parmesan Chicken Pasta Dinner is a comforting and easy-to-make dish, perfect for a weeknight meal. Tender chicken and pasta are coated in a rich, creamy Parmesan sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 pound pasta (penne, farfalle, or your favorite)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus extra for serving
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  6. Gradually whisk in chicken broth until smooth. Bring to a simmer.
  7. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  8. Return chicken to the skillet.
  9. Add cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a spicier dish, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • You can add vegetables like broccoli or spinach to this dish. Add them during the last few minutes of cooking.
