Ingredients
Scale
- 6 slices (approx. 3 oz) hard salami, folded
- 6 slices (approx. 3 oz) prosciutto, folded
- 6 oz sharp cheddar cheese, cubed
- 6 oz pepper jack cheese, cubed
- 1 cup green grapes, washed
- 1 cup red grapes, washed
- 1/2 cup small cornichons or gherkins
- 1/4 cup pitted green olives
- 1/4 cup pitted black olives
- 1/2 cup small pretzel sticks
- 1/2 cup water crackers or mini toasts
- Fresh rosemary sprigs, for garnish
- 6 small clear plastic cups (5–7 oz size)
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients: Fold the salami and prosciutto slices into quarters or rolls. Cube the cheeses. Wash and dry the grapes. Drain the cornichons and olives.
- Assemble the cups: Start by placing a few pretzel sticks and crackers at the bottom of each cup to create a base.
- Add the larger items: Carefully arrange folded salami and prosciutto slices along the sides of the cup, allowing them to peek over the rim.
- Fill with cheese and fruit: Add a mix of cheddar and pepper jack cheese cubes, along with green and red grapes, to fill the center of the cup.
- Incorporate pickles and olives: Tuck in a few cornichons and both green and black olives among the other ingredients.
- Garnish: Finish each cup with a small sprig of fresh rosemary for a festive touch and aroma.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate: If preparing in advance, cover loosely and refrigerate for up to 2 hours. Bring to room temperature for 15-20 minutes before serving for best flavor.
Notes
- Customization: Feel free to customize these cups with your favorite charcuterie items! Other great additions include cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, dried apricots, or different types of cured meats and cheeses.
- Kid-Friendly: For a kid-friendly version, include items like cheese sticks, mild salami, berries, and mini pretzels.
- Presentation: For an extra festive look, you can tie a small ribbon around each cup or use holiday-themed picks for the olives and cheese.
- Make Ahead Tip: While best assembled close to serving, you can pre-cut cheeses and wash grapes a day in advance to save time.
