Description

This Cheesy Steak and Pasta Dinner is a comforting and flavorful meal, perfect for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion. Tender steak, creamy cheese sauce, and your favorite pasta come together in a dish that’s sure to please.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 ounces pasta (penne, rotini, or your favorite)
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the steak cubes with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Sear the steak cubes in batches until browned on all sides. Remove the steak and set aside.
  3. Add the chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and beef broth. Stir in the oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Return the steak to the skillet. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20-30 minutes, or until the steak is tender.
  6. While the steak is simmering, cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain the pasta and set aside.
  7. Stir the heavy cream into the sauce in the skillet. Bring to a simmer.
  8. Add the cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses to the sauce. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
  9. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
  10. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For a spicier dish, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • You can use different types of cheese, such as Gruyere or Monterey Jack.
  • If you prefer, you can use pre-cooked steak.
