Air Fryer Steak Fajitas are a quick and easy weeknight meal. Tender steak strips are cooked to perfection in the air fryer, then combined with colorful bell peppers and onions for a sizzling fajita experience. - 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- 1 large bell pepper (any color), sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fajita seasoning
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Warm tortillas, for serving
- Optional toppings: salsa, sour cream, guacamole, shredded cheese
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the sliced steak, 1 tablespoon olive oil, fajita seasoning, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a separate bowl, toss the sliced bell pepper and onion with the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Place the steak in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to cook in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Air fry the steak for 5-7 minutes, or until cooked to your desired doneness.
- Remove the steak from the air fryer and set aside.
- Add the bell peppers and onions to the air fryer basket.
- Air fry the vegetables for 5-7 minutes, or until tender-crisp.
- Return the steak to the air fryer basket with the vegetables and cook for another minute to heat through.
- Serve immediately in warm tortillas with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- For more flavor, marinate the steak for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
- Adjust the cooking time based on your air fryer and desired doneness of the steak.
- If you don’t have fajita seasoning, you can make your own by combining chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, and cayenne pepper.
- Store leftover steak fajitas in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer or microwave before serving.
