Description

Air Fryer Steak Fajitas are a quick and easy weeknight meal. Tender steak strips are cooked to perfection in the air fryer, then combined with colorful bell peppers and onions for a sizzling fajita experience. Serve with warm tortillas and your favorite toppings for a customizable and delicious dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 1 large bell pepper (any color), sliced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fajita seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Warm tortillas, for serving
  • Optional toppings: salsa, sour cream, guacamole, shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the sliced steak, 1 tablespoon olive oil, fajita seasoning, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
  2. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  3. In a separate bowl, toss the sliced bell pepper and onion with the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Place the steak in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to cook in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
  5. Air fry the steak for 5-7 minutes, or until cooked to your desired doneness.
  6. Remove the steak from the air fryer and set aside.
  7. Add the bell peppers and onions to the air fryer basket.
  8. Air fry the vegetables for 5-7 minutes, or until tender-crisp.
  9. Return the steak to the air fryer basket with the vegetables and cook for another minute to heat through.
  10. Serve immediately in warm tortillas with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • For more flavor, marinate the steak for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
  • Adjust the cooking time based on your air fryer and desired doneness of the steak.
  • If you don’t have fajita seasoning, you can make your own by combining chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, and cayenne pepper.
  • Store leftover steak fajitas in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer or microwave before serving.
