Description

A cool and creamy Tzatziki Party Dip, packed with extra cucumber for a refreshing twist perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups plain Greek yogurt (full-fat recommended)
  • 1 large cucumber, peeled, seeded, and finely grated
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh mint, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Grate the cucumber using a box grater. Place the grated cucumber in a fine-mesh sieve set over a bowl and let it drain for at least 15-20 minutes to remove excess water. Gently press with a spoon to speed up the process.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, drained grated cucumber, minced garlic, chopped dill, chopped mint (if using), lemon juice, and olive oil.
  3. Stir all the ingredients together until well combined.
  4. Season generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  5. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  6. Serve chilled with pita bread, fresh vegetables, or as a topping for grilled meats.

Notes

  • For a thicker dip, you can strain the Greek yogurt for an hour or two in the refrigerator using cheesecloth.
  • Adjust the amount of garlic to your preference.
  • Leftovers will keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
