Description

These Sweet and Spicy Glazed Chicken Thighs are a weeknight winner! Tender, juicy chicken thighs are coated in a flavorful glaze that’s sweet, savory, and has a delightful kick. Ready in under an hour, they’re perfect for a quick and satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 68 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (or more, to taste)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Sesame seeds and chopped green onions, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sriracha, garlic, ginger, and black pepper.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Place the chicken thighs in the skillet, skin-side down. Sear for 3-4 minutes, until the skin is lightly browned.
  5. Pour the glaze over the chicken thighs, ensuring they are well coated.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
  7. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Baste the chicken with the glaze a few times during baking.
  8. If desired, broil the chicken for the last 1-2 minutes to crisp up the skin, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  9. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken thighs in the glaze for 30 minutes before cooking.
  • If you don’t have an oven-safe skillet, you can sear the chicken in a regular skillet and then transfer it to a baking dish.
  • Adjust the amount of sriracha to control the level of spiciness.
  • Serve with rice, noodles, or roasted vegetables.
