Ingredients
Scale
- 6–8 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sriracha (or more, to taste)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sriracha, garlic, ginger, and black pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
- Place the chicken thighs in the skillet, skin-side down. Sear for 3-4 minutes, until the skin is lightly browned.
- Pour the glaze over the chicken thighs, ensuring they are well coated.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Baste the chicken with the glaze a few times during baking.
- If desired, broil the chicken for the last 1-2 minutes to crisp up the skin, watching carefully to prevent burning.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken thighs in the glaze for 30 minutes before cooking.
- If you don’t have an oven-safe skillet, you can sear the chicken in a regular skillet and then transfer it to a baking dish.
- Adjust the amount of sriracha to control the level of spiciness.
- Serve with rice, noodles, or roasted vegetables.
