- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
- Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear chicken thighs for 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 30 seconds, until fragrant.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, water, rice vinegar, cornstarch, and black pepper.
- Pour sauce into the skillet and bring to a simmer, stirring constantly.
- Return chicken thighs to the skillet. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and sauce has thickened.
- Serve chicken and sauce over cooked rice with a side of steamed broccoli.
