Description

This prosciutto arugula pizza is a delicious and easy-to-make meal perfect for a weeknight dinner or a casual gathering. The combination of salty prosciutto, peppery arugula, and creamy mozzarella on a crispy crust is simply irresistible.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound pizza dough, store-bought or homemade
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • 4 ounces prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups arugula
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Red pepper flakes, to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it preheats.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, stretch or roll out the pizza dough to your desired shape and thickness.
  3. Brush the pizza dough with olive oil.
  4. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
  5. Arrange the mozzarella slices over the sauce.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Remove the pizza from the oven.
  8. Immediately top with the prosciutto and arugula.
  9. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes (if using).
  10. Slice and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a crispier crust, cook the pizza directly on a pizza stone or baking steel.
  • Feel free to add other toppings, such as mushrooms, olives, or sun-dried tomatoes.
  • If you don’t have fresh mozzarella, you can use shredded mozzarella.
  • Adjust the amount of arugula and prosciutto to your liking.
