Description

This Peppermint White Chocolate Fudge is a delightful and incredibly easy treat to make, perfect for the holidays or any time you crave a sweet, minty indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate bar
  • 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 tsp peppermint extract (or more, to taste)
  • 1/4 cup crushed candy canes or peppermint candies, plus extra for garnish

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk.
  3. Microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir well. Continue microwaving in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth. This usually takes 2-3 minutes total.
  4. Stir in the peppermint extract until well combined.
  5. Fold in 1/4 cup of crushed candy canes.
  6. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Sprinkle additional crushed candy canes over the top for garnish, if desired.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  9. Once firm, use the parchment paper overhang to lift the fudge out of the pan. Cut into 1-inch squares.
  10. Store the fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week, or in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

  • For a stronger peppermint flavor, you can add a little more peppermint extract, but be careful not to add too much as it can become overpowering.
  • If you don’t have a microwave, you can melt the chocolate and condensed milk in a double boiler over simmering water, stirring constantly until smooth.
  • Get creative with toppings! You can drizzle with melted dark chocolate, add sprinkles, or even mini chocolate chips.
  • This fudge makes a wonderful homemade gift for friends and family during the holiday season.
