Description

This One Pan Cheesy Garlic Pasta is the ultimate comfort food! It’s incredibly easy to make, with minimal cleanup. Tender pasta is cooked in a flavorful garlic-infused sauce, then tossed with plenty of cheese for a gooey, delicious meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound pasta (penne, rotini, or your favorite shape)
  • 4 cups vegetable broth (or chicken broth)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of your favorite cheeses)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large oven-safe skillet (or a large pot if you don’t have an oven-safe skillet), combine the pasta, vegetable broth, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and simmer for about 12-15 minutes, or until the pasta is cooked through and the liquid is mostly absorbed, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  4. Remove the skillet from the heat.
  5. Stir in the cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a tablespoon of butter at the end.
  • Feel free to add cooked chicken, sausage, or vegetables like broccoli or spinach to make it a more complete meal. Add these in the last few minutes of cooking.
  • If you prefer a creamier pasta, stir in a splash of heavy cream or milk at the end.
  • Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your spice preference.
