Description

These Honey Sriracha Chicken Thighs are a perfect blend of sweet and spicy, with a sticky glaze that’s irresistible. Easy to make and bursting with flavor, they’re a weeknight winner!


Ingredients

  • 68 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, sriracha, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
  3. Season the chicken thighs generously with salt and pepper.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Sear the chicken thighs skin-side down for 5-7 minutes, until the skin is golden brown and crispy.
  6. Flip the chicken thighs and pour the honey sriracha glaze over them.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). The glaze should be thick and sticky.
  9. Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes.
  10. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crispy skin, broil the chicken for the last 1-2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  • Adjust the amount of sriracha to your preferred level of spiciness.
  • Serve with rice, noodles, or your favorite sides to soak up the delicious sauce.
