These sticky, sweet and savory Honey Garlic Chicken Drumsticks are baked to perfection with a delicious glaze. An easy weeknight dinner that’s both budget-friendly and crowd-pleasing.

- 8 chicken drumsticks
- 1/3 cup honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Pat chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels and place in a large bowl.
- Pour 2/3 of the honey garlic sauce over the drumsticks and toss to coat evenly. Reserve remaining sauce for basting.
- Arrange drumsticks on the prepared wire rack.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, basting with reserved sauce every 15 minutes, until chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- For extra caramelization, broil for 2-3 minutes at the end.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- For crispier skin, pat the drumsticks very dry before coating with sauce.
- Line your baking sheet with foil for easier cleanup.
- You can marinate the chicken for up to 8 hours for more flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
