Description

Whip up a delicious and easy weeknight meal with these flavorful Garlic Noodles! Ready in under 30 minutes, this recipe is perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces dried spaghetti or linguine
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Add soy sauce, butter, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet. Stir until butter is melted and everything is well combined.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce. If the noodles seem dry, add a little of the reserved pasta water, a tablespoon at a time, until the sauce coats the noodles nicely.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with sliced green onions.

Notes

  • Feel free to add cooked protein like chicken, shrimp, or tofu for a more substantial meal.
  • Vegetables like broccoli, snap peas, or mushrooms can be added during the last few minutes of cooking.
  • Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your preferred level of spiciness.
  • For extra flavor, add a splash of rice vinegar.
