Description

These Easy Maple Chicken Sliders are a perfect game day snack or a quick, delicious dinner. Featuring tender shredded chicken in a sweet and tangy maple glaze, topped with creamy coleslaw, all nestled in soft slider buns.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound cooked chicken, shredded
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 12 slider buns
  • Coleslaw (store-bought or homemade)
  • Optional: Pickle slices for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well to ensure the chicken is evenly coated.
  2. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  3. Warm the chicken mixture in a saucepan over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes, or until heated through and the sauce has slightly thickened.
  4. Slice the slider buns horizontally. You can toast them lightly if desired.
  5. Spoon a generous amount of the maple chicken mixture onto the bottom half of each slider bun.
  6. Top with a spoonful of coleslaw.
  7. Place the top half of the bun over the coleslaw.
  8. Serve immediately, with pickle slices on the side if desired.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the chicken mixture.
  • If you don’t have cooked chicken, you can boil or bake chicken breasts and then shred them.
  • These sliders are great for meal prepping. Store the chicken mixture and coleslaw separately in the refrigerator and assemble when ready to eat.
