Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound steak, cut into 1-inch cubes (sirloin, ribeye, or your preferred cut)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 ounces pasta (penne, fettuccine, or your choice)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Season the steak bites with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the steak bites to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides, about 3-5 minutes. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and beef broth. Bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce thickens slightly.
- Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- You can substitute the beef broth with chicken broth.
- Feel free to add other vegetables, such as mushrooms or bell peppers, to the skillet while cooking the steak.
- If you don’t have heavy cream, you can use half-and-half, but the sauce might be slightly thinner.
