Description

This Chicken Avocado Melt Sandwich is a quick and zesty dinner option that combines tender chicken, creamy avocado, and melted cheese, all grilled to perfection between slices of bread.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1/2 avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cup cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1/4 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese (or your preferred cheese)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil for grilling

Instructions

  1. Spread mayonnaise on one side of each bread slice.
  2. On the un-mayonnaised side of one slice, layer the sliced avocado, cooked chicken, and shredded cheese.
  3. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  4. Place the second bread slice on top, mayonnaise-side up.
  5. Heat butter or olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Carefully place the sandwich in the skillet.
  7. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve hot.
