Description

A festive and delicious appetizer perfect for Christmas! This Brie and Cranberry Christmas Wreath is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet (14.1 oz) frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 8 oz Brie cheese, rind on
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs, for garnish
  • Crackers or baguette slices, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry slightly.
  3. Place the Brie cheese in the center of the puff pastry.
  4. Spread the cranberry sauce over the Brie.
  5. Sprinkle the chopped nuts over the cranberry sauce.
  6. Cut the puff pastry into strips, leaving the center circle with the Brie intact.
  7. Twist each strip of pastry and arrange them around the Brie, forming a wreath shape.
  8. Brush the pastry with the beaten egg.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the Brie is melted and gooey.
  10. Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs.
  11. Let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with crackers or baguette slices.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the cranberry sauce.
  • You can also add a drizzle of honey before baking for extra sweetness.
  • If you don’t have fresh rosemary, use dried rosemary.
  • This recipe is best served immediately, but leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator and reheated.
