- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
- 1 cup diced ripe tomatoes, seeds removed
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for topping)
- Crackers, baguette slices, or vegetable sticks for serving
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, and softened cream cheese. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Gently fold in the shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and crumbled bacon. Be careful not to overmix, as you want to maintain some texture.
- Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. If desired, sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the dip to chill thoroughly.
- Serve cold with your favorite crackers, baguette slices, or vegetable sticks.
Notes
- For best results, use ripe, flavorful tomatoes and good quality bacon.
- If you prefer a thicker dip, you can reduce the amount of mayonnaise slightly or add a bit more cream cheese.
- This dip is best served cold and within a day or two of making.
- Add a dash of hot sauce to the cream cheese mixture for a little kick.
