Description

This BLT Dip with Bacon, Lettuce & Tomato is a refreshing and delicious cold appetizer perfect for summer parties and family gatherings. It’s an easy-to-make, crowd-pleasing dish that captures all the classic flavors of a BLT sandwich in a dip form.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1 cup diced ripe tomatoes, seeds removed
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for topping)
  • Crackers, baguette slices, or vegetable sticks for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, and softened cream cheese. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  2. Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  3. Gently fold in the shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and crumbled bacon. Be careful not to overmix, as you want to maintain some texture.
  4. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. If desired, sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the dip to chill thoroughly.
  6. Serve cold with your favorite crackers, baguette slices, or vegetable sticks.

Notes

  • For best results, use ripe, flavorful tomatoes and good quality bacon.
  • If you prefer a thicker dip, you can reduce the amount of mayonnaise slightly or add a bit more cream cheese.
  • This dip is best served cold and within a day or two of making.
  • Add a dash of hot sauce to the cream cheese mixture for a little kick.
