Description

This Bacon Cream Cheese Tortellini recipe is a comforting and satisfying family favorite. Featuring tender tortellini tossed in a rich, creamy sauce with crispy bacon, it’s a dish that comes together easily for a delicious weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (9 ounce) package refrigerated tortellini
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook tortellini according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook bacon until crispy. Remove bacon from skillet, reserving about 1 tablespoon of bacon grease. Crumble bacon and set aside.
  3. Return the skillet with reserved bacon grease to medium heat. Add the softened cream cheese and milk. Whisk until the cream cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth.
  4. Stir in the garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet with the cream cheese sauce. Toss gently to coat.
  6. Stir in the crumbled bacon.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For a richer sauce, you can use half-and-half or heavy cream instead of milk.
  • Feel free to add some cooked vegetables like spinach or peas to the sauce for extra nutrition.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop or in the microwave.
