Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 ounces dried noodles (egg noodles or your favorite)
- Chopped green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, toss the chicken pieces with 1 tablespoon soy sauce and cornstarch. Set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining 1/4 cup soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), rice vinegar, sesame oil, and black pepper.
- Add the sauce to the skillet and bring to a simmer.
- Cook the noodles according to package directions. Drain the noodles and add them to the sauce along with the cooked chicken.
- Toss everything together until the noodles are well coated with the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a spicier dish, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
- If you don’t have oyster sauce, you can substitute with an extra tablespoon of soy sauce.
- Feel free to add vegetables like sliced bell peppers, broccoli florets, or snow peas. Add them to the skillet with the garlic.
