Description

These Air Fryer Korean Beef Bites are incredibly tender and flavorful, perfect as an appetizer or main course. Marinated in a savory-sweet Korean-inspired sauce and cooked to perfection in the air fryer, they’re quick, easy, and delicious!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, rice vinegar, gochujang, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  2. Add the cubed steak to the marinade and toss to coat thoroughly.
  3. Cover the bowl and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Remove the steak from the marinade and toss with cornstarch, ensuring each piece is lightly coated.
  6. Place the marinated steak in the air fryer basket in a single layer, being careful not to overcrowd. You may need to cook in batches.
  7. Air fry for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until the steak is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  8. Remove the beef bites from the air fryer and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add more red pepper flakes or gochujang to the marinade.
  • If you don’t have gochujang, you can substitute with sriracha, but it will alter the flavor slightly.
  • Marinating the beef for longer will result in more flavorful and tender bites.
  • Serve with rice, noodles, or as an appetizer with your favorite dipping sauce.
