- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- Chopped green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, rice vinegar, gochujang, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Add the cubed steak to the marinade and toss to coat thoroughly.
- Cover the bowl and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Remove the steak from the marinade and toss with cornstarch, ensuring each piece is lightly coated.
- Place the marinated steak in the air fryer basket in a single layer, being careful not to overcrowd. You may need to cook in batches.
- Air fry for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until the steak is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
- Remove the beef bites from the air fryer and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add more red pepper flakes or gochujang to the marinade.
- If you don’t have gochujang, you can substitute with sriracha, but it will alter the flavor slightly.
- Marinating the beef for longer will result in more flavorful and tender bites.
