Description

These Air Fryer Honey Garlic Chicken Bites are incredibly juicy and flavorful, perfect as an appetizer or a quick weeknight meal. The sweet and savory honey garlic glaze caramelizes beautifully in the air fryer, creating a crispy and delicious coating.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Sesame seeds and chopped green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, toss the chicken cubes with cornstarch, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  2. Drizzle the chicken with olive oil and toss again.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Place the chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring not to overcrowd. You may need to cook in batches.
  5. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown.
  6. While the chicken is air frying, prepare the honey garlic sauce. In a small saucepan, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  7. Bring the sauce to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
  8. Once the chicken is cooked, transfer it to a clean bowl. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken and toss to coat evenly.
  9. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve immediately.
