Description

Air fryer buffalo chicken wings are crispy, juicy, and coated in a tangy, spicy buffalo sauce. This recipe delivers game-day flavor in under 30 minutes!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot Buffalo Wing Sauce)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper. Make sure the wings are evenly coated.
  3. Place the wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to cook them in batches to avoid overcrowding.
  4. Air fry for 12 minutes, then flip the wings and cook for another 10-12 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is crispy.
  5. While the wings are cooking, prepare the buffalo sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together the buffalo wing sauce, melted butter, and white vinegar.
  6. Once the wings are cooked, transfer them to a clean bowl and pour the buffalo sauce over them. Toss to coat evenly.
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce, such as blue cheese or ranch dressing.

Notes

  • For extra crispy wings, pat the wings dry with paper towels before seasoning.
  • Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper to your desired level of spiciness.
  • You can use other sauces besides buffalo sauce, such as BBQ sauce or teriyaki sauce.
  • Serve with celery and carrot sticks for a complete appetizer.
