Description
Air fryer buffalo chicken wings are crispy, juicy, and coated in a tangy, spicy buffalo sauce. This recipe delivers game-day flavor in under 30 minutes!
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot Buffalo Wing Sauce)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tbsp white vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper. Make sure the wings are evenly coated.
- Place the wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to cook them in batches to avoid overcrowding.
- Air fry for 12 minutes, then flip the wings and cook for another 10-12 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is crispy.
- While the wings are cooking, prepare the buffalo sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together the buffalo wing sauce, melted butter, and white vinegar.
- Once the wings are cooked, transfer them to a clean bowl and pour the buffalo sauce over them. Toss to coat evenly.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce, such as blue cheese or ranch dressing.
Notes
- For extra crispy wings, pat the wings dry with paper towels before seasoning.
- Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper to your desired level of spiciness.
- You can use other sauces besides buffalo sauce, such as BBQ sauce or teriyaki sauce.
- Serve with celery and carrot sticks for a complete appetizer.
