Description
These Air Fryer Beef Taquitos are crispy, flavorful, and so easy to make! Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a fun appetizer.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 10–12 small flour tortillas (6-inch)
- Cooking spray
- Optional toppings: sour cream, guacamole, salsa, chopped cilantro
Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the liquid has been absorbed.
- Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses until melted and well combined.
- Warm the tortillas in the microwave for 15-20 seconds to make them more pliable.
- Spoon about 2-3 tablespoons of the beef mixture onto each tortilla.
- Tightly roll up each tortilla and secure with a toothpick, if needed.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Spray the taquitos with cooking spray.
- Place the taquitos in the air fryer basket in a single layer, being careful not to overcrowd. You may need to cook them in batches.
- Air fry for 6-8 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
- Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.
- Serve with your favorite toppings, such as sour cream, guacamole, salsa, and chopped cilantro.
Notes
- For extra crispy taquitos, spray them with cooking spray again after flipping.
- If you don’t have an air fryer, you can bake these in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
- You can use different types of cheese, such as pepper jack or a Mexican cheese blend.
